It's October Eve! The air is getting crisp (even here in coastal North Carolina), the days are getting shorter, and day one of spooky season is coming up! October is one of the most exciting months of the year for families, with its fall festivals, autumn break, and, of course, Halloween, so you want to make sure you (and your little ones) 100% ready for all of the action! Here's our quick, easy, three-step guide on getting fully prepped for October, so you can start one of the most fun months of the year with your best foot forward!

Step One: Bring Out the Boo Basket!
Take the Boo Basket you organized in September out of hiding, and set it on the kitchen table for your kids to discover on the first morning of October. You've probably seen Boo Baskets on social media now that we're closing in on October 1st, and know all about them, but in case you haven't, here's the rundown:
On the first day of October, surprise your kiddos with some seasonal gifts so they can kick off spooky season with tons of excitement! A Halloween bucket with fun autumnal clothes, books, and playthings is the best way to start spooky season, and will likely become a beloved autumn tradition for you and your kiddos.

Step Two: Flip Their Wardrobe
The mornings are officially chilly, all the warm weather of summer is gone until next year, and it needs to reflect in your kids' wardrobe! We've all been there: It's the first cold day of the year, it's time to get ready for school, and the entire morning routine comes to a screeching halt once your little one can't find a sweater or pullover to stay warm. Then you're stuck in their room, digging through their closet, rushing to find something they can wear without freezing their butt off.
Then, once you finally get them into something appropriate for the weather, you find out that they missed the bus, or they're not gonna make it to school before the bell, or you're not going to make it to the office on time. What a headache!
The solution? Be proactive! All of the cute tank tops, skirts, and shorts they've been wearing in the warmer weather need to get moved to the back of their closet, and you need to bring their cozy cardigans, hoodies, and layering pieces to the front, ASAP!

Step Three: Prep Your Mom Uniform!
Don't forget about yourself, mama! Now that you've gotten your little ones 100% prepped for October 1st, it's time to make sure that you're ready for the chilly morning routines, too!
Set out your coffee thermos, your Henné Lip Tint, and your favorite boutique sweater before bed tonight, so it's all ready to go for the morning of October 1st. That way you can wake up, toss on your "momiform," get ready, and set up your kids' Boo Baskets effortlessly, all before your little ones hop out of bed! BOOM, you're fully ready to conquer October 1st, and look flawless while you're doing it!
