Summertime is the best! You have more time with the kiddos, you get to bond with them more, maybe go on a vacation or two, and there's tons of fun to be had. The problem is, sometimes it's hard to think of something to do with the kids. Like, really hard. If you're looking for activities to do with the family this summer, you're in the right place: here is our official Wrightsville Ave list!

June 7: This month, the Children's Museum of Wilmington is offering a sensory-friendly experience for visitors with sensory sensitivities. The first is on June 7, and this "Sensory Sundayevent will run from 10 AM until 12 PM on select Sundays. The museum will be open during exclusive hours for this event, and it's specially catered for little ones that have varying sensory, developmental, or physical needs. The museum is adjusted to make the environment more comfortable, and there are designated calm spaces as well. This will be a morning of sensory-safe fun!

June 13, 26: The Wilmington Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Water Works event this summer at the Fit for Fun center! The Fun center is transformed into a water wonderland from 9 AM until noon, with an ice pop for the kiddos at 10:30 AM. Pre-registration is required, so make sure you reserve your spot!

June 19: Go to Jungle Rapids on the third Friday of each month, all summer long, for Family Building Night! LEGO Master Devin Hall, owner of Building Buddies, will be leading you and your kids in putting together a themed build challenge. Have fun together and make something creative and amazing!

June 21: Looking for a special Father's Day activity? Look no further! On Father's Day, dad's skate for free at Scooter's Skating Rink, a legendary Wilmington local treasure. From 2-5PM, dad can skate for free, and admission for the rest of the family is $8 with an optional $4 to rent skates. Fun for all ages!
