Two parents with a background in health saw a documentary outlining the devastating impact childhood hunger has on millions of children around the world and learned 66 million children at primary school age go to school hungry every day, and 45% of children's deaths under age 5 were a result of malnutrition or starvation, around 3.1 million children every year. That's when they decided they wanted to make a difference, and found Cuddle and Kind. This is a company that has values, and stands by them.

What is their mission? 

Whenever you buy one Cuddle and Kind doll, up to 10 school meals are donated to children in need. For some kids, the only food they eat is what they can get at school, so Cuddle and Kind plays a crucial role in their development. 

Cuddle and Kind employs thousands of women artisans in Peru to handmake their dolls, and provides these women with fair working conditions and sustainable, fair trade income. They use natural organic cotton materials with their dolls, which has less of a negative impact on the environment, too. Cuddle and Kind partners with many highly respected humanitarian agencies to distribute their donated meals, so you can feel assured that every purchase goes towards helping those in need. So far, Cuddle and Kind has donated over 37 million meals to children in need.
